Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at www.rtnchappaqua.eventbrite.com, or at the door for $15. Friends of Greeley Theatre
As another school year approaches, we look forward to the return of many extracurricular activities that enrich not only our children’s lives, but also that of the entire community. Greeley Theatre, available to all students at the high school, offers first-rate productions that are remarkable for boosting school spirit and introducing actors and audiences alike to a variety of musicals, comedies and dramas that entertain and educate. A catalyst for establishing friendships, learning new skills and creating art, theatre adds an invaluable dimension to the Greeley experience.
While many of us have benefited from the rich cultural experiences of Greeley Theatre, few people are aware that these productions require funding not included in the Chappaqua Schools’ annual budget. Our students and theatre department personnel are talented and committed to high quality productions. Their dedication and diligence is only one part of a larger picture. Set design and construction, lighting and costumes are also critical to theatre productions and both result in works that are a source of entertainment and pride for our high school and our town. This comprehensive theatre experience with all its essential components comes at a price. Financial support for Greeley Theatre is critical if we are to continue a commitment to quality.
FGT is a not for profit organization that raises funds to purchase equipment, subsidize enhancements and expand opportunities in drama, music and theatre related arts. In the 2009-2010 school year the generous contributions of our members made it possible for us to provide, among other items:
