Guest speaker Dr. Esta Rapoport will discuss concrete
methods and techniques to help individuals with ADHD and other disabilities
learn and perform appropriate social skills critical for getting along with
others and experiencing social success.
SB PTA Book
Fair, March
16-19
The Seven Bridges Book Fair will take place Tuesday, March 16 - Friday,
March 19 and will include many great books, like the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid
book all about Greg's last year of middle school and other great choice reads
for all grade levels. Popular adult books will also be available so we
encourage parents to stop by before or after Breakfast at Bridges on March
19.

This event
(originally snowed out in February) is now scheduled for March 17th, 9:30 am in
the Professional Library Room, and will involve SB social worker Lyndall Boal
and others from Gudiance to discuss issues involving our 7th graders in a quiet,
intimate
setting.
Author Night & Father/Child Book Group
March 17, 7-9 pm.
On
Wednesday March 17, from 7-9 pm, we will hold our first evening Book Fair event,
welcoming Barbara Dee, the celebrated author who was just nominated for a Three
Apples Teen Award for her book Solving
Zoe. Mr. Stiefel will host his father and child book club, and everyone
is welcome to participate for what promises to be a wonderful literary
evening!
Annual Family Breakfast, March

Our annual
family breakfast will take place from 6:45 to 7:45 am, with home-baked goodies,
coffee, breakfast, and smoothies. Take this chance to visit the Book Fair in
the Upper Commons
afterward.
Bandapalooza Rescheduled for
March 19, 7:30-9

This event,
snowed out on February 26, will take place on March 19 from 7:30-9:00 pm in the
SB Performing Arts Center. Bandapalooza features bands of our middle and high
school students. Admission is
$5.
SB Art Gala, March 22,
1:15-2:30
All parents are invited March 22 from 1:15-2:30 pm
to the SB Gala Opening to celebrate "The Big Picture Project" comprised of large
collaborative paintings by 7th and 8th grade art students now on display at
Seven Bridges. The event will take place in the Performing Arts Center with a
"gallery walk" and music performed by student groups. Refreshments will be
provided.
This project was made possible as a result of a generous grant
from the Chappaqua School Foundation.
Incoming 5th Grade Orientation, March 24, 7:30

Orientation session for parents of incoming
5th grade students will be held on Wednesday March 24 at 7:30. Principal Martha
Zornow and Assistant Principal Greg Stiefel will describe the Middle School
program, review a sample schedule, hand out Music and Foreign Language Selection
forms, and more.
Middle School 101, April 21, 7:30

Middle School 101 will take place on April
21, at 7:30. This is an opportunity for incoming 5th grade parents to hear from
student panelists with time for a question and answer
session.
Talent Show, April 22, 7-9
pm
SB plans to hold a Talent Show on April 22, in the
SB PAC from 7 - 9 p.m. Students interested in participating must sign-up and
appear at auditions on April 13 or April 15 from 2:45 - 3:15 in the Dining
Commons. Sign-ups are around the school. Otherwise, contact school social
worker Lyndall Boal for more details.
Volunteers are needed to help at
auditions, the night of the Show, or to offer some munchies or baked goods.

Crutches 4 Kids Drive . .
.
What to do with all the old crutches and canes in your attic?? We
have the solution!!
Crutches 4 Kids is a new, non-profit organization
based out of Manhattan that encourages kids to help other kids in need by
recycling crutches. The organization is run by a national network of students
who will collect used crutches and have them distributed to third world
countries, such as Kenya and India, where there is a significant need and few
resources. The SB PTA will begin collecting crutches and canes in the large
blue recycling can located in the school lobby beginning Friday March 5th
through Thursday, March
11th.

Program
Due to the snow emergency and subsequent power outages, After School Program registration has been extended to Monday March 15.
Tuesday ASP classes, Thursday ASP classes and Phys Ed Intramurals scheduled to begin on the week of 3/15 will begin one week later (week of 3/22) and run until the week of 6/14. Friday classes scheduled to begin on 6/18 remain unchanged.

Bell Garden Committees are excited to announce a unique opportunity to jump
start your garden dreams. Deb Taft, former Garden Director of Rainbeau Ridge in
Bedford, will be presenting, "A Night in the Garden" at SB on Tuesday, April
6th from 7-9 pm. Ms. Taft, an organic vegetable grower and a garden consultant,
will cover a wide range of topics about starting and working your own home
