THE SPECIAL EDUCATION PTA COMMITTEE AND THE CHAPPAQUA LIBRARY PRESENT Dr. Esta Rapoport in a discussion about ADHD & Social Skills Wednesday, March 10th Seven Bridges Middle School Theater Reception: 7pm Presentation: 7:30pm Lecture and Question & Answer session led by Dr. Esta Rapoport, local author of ADHD & Social Skills: A Step by Step Guide for Teachers and Parent Concrete methods and techniques discussed to help individuals with ADHD and other disabilities learn and perform appropriate social skills which are critical for getting along with others and experiencing social success. How do I pick the right books for my child? How can I download an audio book from home? Don't miss this informative presentation!   THE NEW CASTLE RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT AND THE CHAPPAQUA LIBRARY have teamed up again to encourage reading as a family activity.  Its' fourth storywalk features the book "Granite", which tells the story of four-time Iditarod winner Susan Butcher and her sled dog Granite.  This is a wonderful activity for all elementary levels, however our third graders will especially enjoy this storywalk since they are starting their study of the Iditarod. Enjoy Granite by starting at the New Castle Town Hall (downstairs lobby window) and read the pages while you stroll downtown Chappaqua business district. CRUTCHES 4 KIDS DRIVE . . . The WO PTA is collecting crutches and canes Friday March 5th through Thursday, March 11th.  A designated bin is located in the front foyer. Crutches 4 Kids is a new, non-profit organization based out of Manhattan which encourages kids to help other kids in need by recycling crutches.  The mission is to provide crutches for childen around the globe who do not have access to assistive ambulatory devices (such as crutches and canes) but need them to walk.  The organization will be run by a national network of students who will help collect used crutches and will have them distributed to third world countries, such as Kenya and India, where there is a significant need and few resources.  BELL THEATER COMPANY PRESENTS: SOUND OF MUSIC Friday, March 12, 7:30 pm Saturday, March 13, 7:30 pm Sunday, March 14, 2:00 pm Seven Bridges Middle School Auditorium All seats $12 Ticket sales at Bell School New Cafeteria: Monday through Thursday, March 8-11 from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm To order your tickets by e-mail: Contact us at belltheatertickets@live.com with your requested performance.  All tickets will be available for pick-up at Seven Bridges the day of the performance.  Tickets not picked up within 15 minutes of show time will be released for sale to the public.
