2010 Fall Fundraising Program

Welcome to the 2010/2011 School Year!

School begins on Tuesday, September 7 for grades 1-12 and on Wednesday, September 8 for kindergarten.

You should have received your Chappaqua Central School District 2010-2011 Calendar and back-to-school packets from your school PTAs in the mail in mid-August. The joint School District/Chappaqua PTA back-to-school packet which contains important information and forms will be mailed the week of August 23.

In that joint packet you will find the PTA Membership/Fall Fundraising envelope. Please return your membership envelope as soon as possible. Lost the envelope? Click on the link in the upper right hand corner to print a membership form. For more information on our fall fundraising program, see the box to the right.

Chappaqua PTA Fall Meeting

SAVE THE DATE - OCTOBER 4, 2010

For our fall Chappaqua PTA meeting, we have decided to participate in the nationwide screening of

RACE TO NOWHERE

The film is a thought provoking investigation of the pressures American school age children and their teachers face in our highly achievement oriented educational system and culture. For more information, visit the film website, www.racetonowhere.com. Because this is a nationwide screening, tickets are required to view the film. Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at www.rtnchappaqua.eventbrite.com, or at the door for $15. Once we hit our minimum number of required ticket sales, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Chappaqua PTA. The screening of this documentary will be followed by a facilitated discussion group sponsored by the Chappaqua PTA. Details on tickets to follow.
